Richard has 18 years’ experience engineering experience and is an Associate Director based in Buro Happold’s Bath office. He is responsible for managing multidisciplinary project teams, including both core engineering disciplines as well as specialist services. 

Over the course of the last 12 years, Richard’s focus has been in the aviation sector where he has played a key role in several airport projects including refurbishment and expansion projects, at Heathrow Terminal 2, Heathrow Terminal 4, King Khaled International Airport in Riyadh and Pittsburgh Terminal Modernization programme as well as greenfield airports such as New Libreville airport, Gabon. 

Richard has a wide-ranging knowledge of building services as well as experience with many of the specialist engineering disciplines. Outside of the aviation sector, Richard’s portfolio of experience covers many projects throughout Europe, as well as in the Middle East including Olaya Metro Station, King Salman Park.
