Ben Jones, a Fellow of the Controls & Skills Authority, leads Heathrow’s Capital Programme Management Office, overseeing the delivery of complex capital programmes. With over two decades of experience—including 14 years through supply chain partners—Ben brings extensive expertise in programme controls, planning, and delivery.

He began his career as a mechanical estimator and first joined Heathrow in 2003 as a planner, later progressing to Programme Controls Manager and Senior Project Manager on Terminal 5. Ben has since held leadership roles at Mace and Jacobs, where he led planning and PMO functions across major aviation programmes.

Passionate about nurturing talent and driving innovation, Ben was instrumental in creating this competition and is delighted to be part of the judging panel to find and recognise outstanding contributions from early careers professionals shaping the future of civil engineering.
