T5+ / T3+ programme director development , Heathrow Airport
Tim studied Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Leeds University before joining Cegelec as a Project Engineer working for steel producers in Sheffield, Europe and the wider world. Having spent his early career as a contractor in heavy industry Tim then made the move to the client role in the fast moving world of razor blades, working for Gillette leading the Control Systems team to automate a 24/7 production facility
The relocation of the Gillette factory to Poland, prompted a move to Heathrow to help lead the maintenance planning and integration teams through an engineering change programme. The diversity of roles within Heathrow, including operational planning, business process and capital project management has kept Tim at the airport for the last 15 years and has culminated in his current role of Programmes Director for the Heathrow Additional Capacity Programme.
Throughout his career Tim has maintained his connection to Engineering and technology through ongoing membership of the IET.
