Tim Ryan is an architect and director at the tech-led design practice, Bryden Wood. He leads the company’s DfMA approach and has extensive experience running multi-disciplinary design teams to deliver complex, fast-track projects.
Since 2004, Tim has worked for Heathrow, overseeing Bryden Wood’s role on every new terminal. He developed Heathrow’s most innovative DfMA and offsite solutions including the pier segregation product, T3 temporary flight connection centre, and T5C nodes.
Tim also has a central role to help Heathrow use data to make better investment decisions for potential works. His deep understanding of how to address cross-discipline design issues enables his team to frequently exceed client expectation.
From 2012 to 2016, he led the integrated design for Gatwick Pier 1, which was the largest single project for Gatwick since the airport opened.
Bryden Wood currently has many ongoing airport projects, including a key role for the Heathrow Expansion and new work at T5.
